Women's Health Nurse

The Women's Health Nurse Andrea Brooks, is a Registered Nurse and Midwife and is available for consultations on a range of health issues including contraception options, pregnancy testing and options, abortion referrals and post termination checks.

Andrea can provide you with information and advice on other issues including ante-natal care, fertility, menstruation, safer sex and the Emergency Contraceptive Pill. She is able to offer clinical consults on a broad range of health issues for girls and women. She has a strong belief in supporting women’s reproductive health rights.

The centre does not currently have a doctor, so we are not able to offer pap tests or sexual health checks and instead refer women to the Lismore & Kyogle Family Planning Clinic or SHAIDS (Lismore Sexual Health Service).

Pregnancy and Postnatal Group

Andrea is able to support women through pregnancy and beyond through facilitating a weekly pregnancy and postnatal group.

The group is held every Wednesday morning as an ongoing, open group. A prenatal and postnatal yoga session is held with an accredited teacher, Christina Peebles, followed by morning tea, circle and group education and discussion.

The cost for the morning is $15.00
($12.00 for yoga + $3.00 for morning tea and hall hire contribution)
